“Amazing” is the new “Nice”…

It seems the only word used to describe anything these days is “amazing”. In fact, it’s used so much in my own head it has been relegated to such nondescript levels as “nice” and “good”.

I’m sure you will all find this post “amazing”…

Cheers

  1. “Unbelievable” is the most frequently used word here. Unbelievable goal, unbelievable car, unbelievable speech. It is unbelievable how one word can replace any other adjective.

  2. I’m starting to think the understatement of “Nice” or “Good” are actually quite cool.

Perhaps I will start and advertising campaign like, “Oracle, it’s nice!” 🙂

    Cheers

  3. I can live with “amazing”. At least it’s more culturally acceptable to this pair of ears than “awesome”. The Americans can say things are awesome and just about get away with it. On the lips of anyone else, I’m afraid it just sounds amazingly daft.
