My nine year old nephew has just been picked for the West Bromwich Albion F.C. Development Centre. He was already playing for a local academy side and this is the next step up. It’s worked out really well because the Baggies DC training ground is not too far from where he lives. Much easier than having to drives miles to some of the other Premiership development centers.
I guess now we will have to get him out of the habit of supporting Manchester United and into the Baggies.

It’s a long path and not many go on to make but brilliant news for your nephew. What a fantastic experience. Please keep us updated on his progress and post any pictures of him posing with Frank Skinner and/or Adrian Chiles.

We have no delusions. He’s got to keep improving for years, avoid injury and keep his desire. It’s by no means easy. I’m just glad he has been given the opportunity to try.
I don’t post pictures of the boys because they are not my kids and I don’t think it’s my place to. They are of course perfect and would make every other parent jealous. 🙂
I will definitely let you know of developments. I’m just off to book him in to get his arms tattooed totally blue and sign him up for a Gillette advert. 🙂
