Now what you feel Virtual Box or Vmware WS …

VMware Workstation is a paid-for product and I’ve not had a license for years. I used VMware Server for a long time, but now use VirtualBox. I don’t think it makes much of a difference what you use these days. I’m happy with VirtualBox. It does everything I need and it’s free. If you prefer VMware WS and are prepared to pay for it, then go for it. 🙂
One other thing, Oracle release appliances for VirtualBox, so you can load up different VMs with zero effort to mess about with.

I’ve used VMWare Player 3 which is also free and allows you to build Virtual machines pretty simply. Not sure why they still call it Player.
I couldn’t get along with that web interface for VMWare Server
