hi Tim,

Is it possible and realistic to form a Data Guard Infrastructure with 10 sites (different locations)
to a single Machine with 10 standby databases?

Anything needed to consider?

Hi.

From a performance perspective it is not reasonable because the primary server would experience 10 times the overhead servicing all the standby databases.

Instead, it is recommended to take a cascading approach. The primary server supports only a few standby databases (1-3), which in turn cascad their changes to another layer of standby databases.

How to estimate the network traffic for all the Data Guard Traffic.

Any oracle official doc guide to plan the network (throughput) or hardware requirements ?

Hi.

Apart form the doc link already posted, not really sure where to go to next. You could always raise an SR with Oracle to see if they have any whitepapers about similar installations.
