expdp/impdp- include table like

Hi Tim,

I would like to export and import only few tables from the database to other database.

Am trying to use below commnd, but its failing with error :ORA-39071.

include=table:”in (select table_name from dba_tables where (table_name like ‘%_D%’ or table_name like ‘%_DS%’ escape ‘/’ or table_name like ‘QRT%’ )and a.owner IN (‘X’,'Y’))”

Pl let me know where i am going wrong .

Hi.

The problem is you need to escape all special character when running from the command line. If you put the parameters into a parameter file you do not need to do this, so things are a lot clearer.

So from the command line you would probably need something like this:

include=table:\”in (select table_name from dba_tables where (table_name like \‘%_D%\’ or table_name like \‘%_DS%\’ escape \‘/\’ or table_name like \‘QRT%\’ )and a.owner IN (\‘X\’,\'Y\’))\”
