Postby royalyogi » Tue Apr 30, 2013 5:25 am

My database version is 11.2.0.2.0 but my agent version is 11.1.0.1.0.
should I upgrade my agent version or it is not required ?
Becuase we are getting some error on agent log and CPU utilization is eating to 100%.

Hi.

Well, I would definitely suggest being on the latest version of Grid Control (or Cloud Control) you can, but I don't think the agent version is incompatible with your database.

The error says the database is open in read-only mode!

Cheers

Sorry I forgot to mention that.
This is standby database and database get hanged due to CPU will be 100% once agent has started

SQL> select database_role,open_mode from v$database;

DATABASE_ROLE OPEN_MODE
---------------- --------------------
PHYSICAL STANDBY READ ONLY WITH APPLY

Hi.

My first suggestion would be to switch the standby to normal managed recovery, rather than active data guard, then see if the problem still occurs. If it doesn't then I thing your agent may need updating so it can cope with active data guard.

Cheers
