11g R2 Installation on RHEL 5.6

Postby Rijo Roy » Wed May 01, 2013 10:03 am

Hi Tim

Today I was installing Oracle 11g R2 on my RHEL5.6 m/c and at around 47%, it started throwing this File not found message:
/File-pathname/WFMLRSVCApp.ear. If i select to continue then a bunch of errors with the file not found is thrown.

There were 2 disks: Disk 1 was having the runInstaller and Disk2 was having 4 folders named oracle.ctx,oracle.owb.rsf,oracle.rdbms.install.seeddb and oracle.sysman.console.db.

I tried installing by copying the folders in disk2 to disk1 where runInstaller resides. What Should I do? Pls guide me.

Thanks & Regards

Rijo Roy

Hi.

If this is a normal database installation, both disk 1 and disk 2 should unzip into the same directory called "database". You should not be left with two disks. It sounds to me like you've not unzipped them in the normal manner. Did you maybe unzip them on a Windows box and move the to the Linux server?

Tim

I have resolved it. Actually the 4 folders that I mentioned in my post has to be copied to disk 1 - stage - components dir.

After copying, I re-run the runInstaller. It worked..

Anyways Thanks TIm
