Bring up Active Primary Dataguard Database

Postby jnrpeardba » Fri Jun 07, 2013 9:14 am

Hi Tim,

can you confirm the syntax to bring up an active primary database

When I have to bring up the standby I issue the following:

Code: Select all

alter database mount standby database;

Code: Select all

alter database recover managed standby database disconnect from session;

So to bring up the active primary will I issue the following?

Code: Select all

alter database mount primary database;

Code: Select all

alter database recover managed primary database disconnect from session;

Can you simply confirm if this is in fact true

Many thanks
