crontab execution details in AIX

Postby Guest » Mon Nov 01, 2004 6:09 pm

Hello Tim,

After execution of crontab job in Linux, the execution details are written in /var/mail/<user_name> file

But theres no such file in case of AIX 5.2

[ Though this is not directly related to Oracle, I am posting this here, because I know that you are genious in UNIX also ]

Thanks

RE:crontab execution details in AIX

Hi.

Unfortunately I'm not a UNIX genious. I really don't know where crontab runs are logged on AIX. I suggest you take a look at the AIX manuals.

I place all logging from cron jobs into log files anyway so nothing goes to mail.

Cheers
