RAC - FireWire ??

Hello Tim,

I was going to RAC congiruration from this site -

It mentions about the FireWire solution

Whats this Firewire ?
And dont we need shared disk if we go for firewire

Hi.

Firewire is just a method of connecting devices. It's faster than USB, but I think it's a little slower than USB2. The real bonus is that some firewire disk enclosures allow up to 4 devices to access a single disk simultaneously, meaning you can build a cluster for very little money. It's not an enterprise solution, it's just for messing about, but it does work.
