connection failover in RAC

Hi Tim,

consider this scenario,

we have 2 node RAC, each node has sessions parameter to 500

currently node1 has 300 sessions and node2 has 300 sessions. After sometime node1 going down due to some issues, now what happen to the sessions connected in NODE1?

whether all sessions from NODE1 will get failedover to NODE2? or only first 200 sessions could failover.

Hi.

I've never tried it, but what I'm guessing is the sessions will start failing over until you hit the limit, then they will start erroring when attempting to restart on the new node.
