Ora-7445 and earlier ora-0600

Postby Rijo Roy » Mon Apr 22, 2013 12:03 pm

Hi Tim

I'm in this serious issue as you know I am in a 3node database architecture(10g R2), one of my node got failed unexpectedly(of course there was a high cpu usage). When I checked the trace file it showed the ORA-00600

Then I flushed my buffer cache as well as the shared pool in my node(which went down suddenly) when the server process came up..

But now my node 1 went down unexpectedly with this err ora-7445.. When I googled I got this explanation as it is related to ora-00600 itself.

Pls help me..

Thanks & Regards

Hi.

Both ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 have an action of "Contact Oracle Support". That is what you need to do!

While you wait for them to reply, you can check out your problems using the MOS lookup tool.

Hi Tim

As you suggested, I have asked for oracle support team to help us but they asked to submit 2 trace files(apart from other trace files that I submitted ) which were mentioned in the alert_log file. When I searched for it in the specified location, I could not find it. I have searched for the same in other dump folders and oldfiles also but could not find.

Will there be any chance that oracle failed to write those 2 trace files during the incident which is mentioned in alert_log?

Please guide me.

Thanks & Regards

Hi.

I guess that depends on what the failures were caused by. Surely the place you should be asking this question is on your SR with Oracle Support. That's what you are paying them for. :)
