First, thanks for all of the great articles Tim, they have truly helped!
We have a 2 node RAC cluster on Oracle Linux 5 x86-64.
We have just upgrade our grid control from 126.96.36.199 to 188.8.131.52.
We want to register a oracle database that is still 184.108.40.206 with the clusterware
With our environment set for the new clusterware 220.127.116.11, we issue commad
srvctl add database -d CRP -o /u01/app/crp/dbhome and get an java error
PRCD-1025 Failed to create database CRP.
One question came up, should we be using the srvctl out of the rdbms ORACLE_HOME for 18.104.22.168
for adding this database to clusterware or should we use the new srvctl from CRS Home?
