would you recommend to me 2 good books to prepare for the exam (1Z0-058) which is also called:
Oracle Real Application Clusters 11g Release 2 and Grid Infrastructure Administration

Sorry dude. I've not sat that exam, so I'm not really in a position to say what material is appropriate for it.

I guess any of the popular RAC books on the market will help, but of course they won't be focused on the exam criteria.

do please bear with my simple question..or maybe a wrong one..

at the introduction it says that :
" Don't assume you will be able to run this on a small PC or laptop. You won't."

is that mean that the system has to be a server ..or it will also work with a pc with enough memory like 12 G ..?
ANOTHER QUESTION ..
any news about the exam guide for 1Z0-058 ..?
i found it hard to find all sujects related to the exam..

Hi.

1) A PC with enough memory should be fine. I mentioned this in the article because a lot of people write to me, trying to install it on a little laptop with 2G of RAm and that is unrealistic.

2) I don't think there is a book available. There should be nothing in the exam that is not in the manuals.

how i'm supposed to practice for the exam when in can't download.. Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.3.0) RAC
when i try ..oracle support ask for support identifier .. in my case i don't belong to a company ..but preparing for job.
any idea or other ways..?

Hi.

Your only option is to do the installation with 11.2.0.1 on Oracle Linux 5.

Without a CSI you can't get 11.2.0.3. Without 11.2.0.3 you can't do the install on Oracle Linux 6.
