Which Certification exam is good for me?

Hi, I am working in .Net and Oracle from last one yrs. I also have about two yr experience in developing databases (SQL SERVER).

I am thinking about studying any basic oracle certification exam,i am wondering if anyone can advise which exam is good for me?

I am not looking for advance level certification, just may be a single exam or two to show on my cv.

I have tried to visit Oracle education website but its not working at all. Is there any other website they have for certification information? This website www.oracle.com is not working at all.

Is it worth studying and passing following oracle exams?

1Z0-001 - Oracle PL/SQL
1Z0-007 - Introduction to Oracle9i: SQL

Hi.

The entry level certification is OCA. Maybe this would be a good start for you...

Once you have OCP you might consider doing OCP also, or just stop with OCA.

Hi,

i have tried www.oracle.com and some how its not working. I will double check with techinal support team if there is anything to do with firewall or something else.

If i pass 1Z0-001 exam then what other exams i need to pass to get OCA certification?

Can i study OCA on my own or i have to attend some training courses?

Hi, i have tried the education link but its not working from my work pc but it works fine if i try it on my laptop at home. Its something to do with proxy settings.

I have few further questions.

1- What is the main difference b/w 1Z0-007 and 1Z0-047? (apart from 1Z0-047 exam give SQL Expert Certificate)

2- Which practise exam is good? Ucertify or SelfTest or Transcenders?

3- Is there any e-book of exam 1Z0-007 or 1Z0-047?

Hi.

1) One is a basic introduction, the other is more complex.

2) Never used any of them so I can't comment. I'm not a fan of practice tests.

3) I would do a search on Amazon.com. If it exists it will be on there.
