Postby sivakumarocp » Mon Apr 23, 2012 4:16 am

Hi Tim,

One of my test RAC environment has four database are running, all datafiles are placed under DATAFILE diskgroup. all four database are separated by database name.
I need to find the size of each database under DATAFILE diskgroup. how can I find it by after login to ASMCMD.

Like in normal Linux/Unix we use du -h . command likewise is there any command to find space usage in ASMCMD.(in both 10g or 11g)

hi,

seems, you can use:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/ser ... m_util.htm

Code: Select all
ASMCMD> lsdg
State    Type    Rebal  Sector  Block       AU  Total_MB  Free_MB  Req_mir_free_MB  Usable_file_MB  Offline_disks  Voting_files  Name
MOUNTED  EXTERN  N         512   4096  1048576    102400    63813                0           63813              0             N  DATA/
MOUNTED  EXTERN  N         512   4096  1048576    102400    99779                0           99779              0             N  FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA/
MOUNTED  NORMAL  N         512   4096  1048576      6144     5218             2048            1585              0             Y  ORA_DATA/

Hi.

The lsdg command would work if you has separate disk groups for each, but the OP said they were all in the DATA dis group, so this would not work for them.

The ASM command line does support a du command, so you can still use that on each directory.
