Postby Raaj A » Thu Sep 13, 2012 7:54 am

Hi Tim,

we use oracle 10g(10.2.0.1.0) on windows 2003 server and setup datagaurd. Due to space problem on disk i have to move all the data files to other drive On my production server .Pls suggest whether i have to change location of data files from standby site( to make it same directory structure as on primary) ? pls help

Thanks

Hi.

It shouldn't make a difference as long as you are using the CONVERT parameters correctly. Having said that, I prefer to keep the primary and standby servers as similar as possible. With that in mind, it's probably not a bad idea to make the changes there also.

Cheers
