Linux Disk Partitioning (fdisk, parted) - An overview of the disc partitioning utilities available in Linux.

I am trying to create a new partition under /dev/sdb, as per your instructions.
The partition is created and shows up with fdisk -l /dev/sdb, however it is not visible
with ls -l /dev/sd*.
I've tried partprobe /dev/sdb and rebooting, but neither works.

Hi.

Not really sure how this could happen. You did write the partition table using "w" right?

Cheers
