Great Post - What we need now is

1. Oracle PDB/CDB configuration
2. Oracle ASM and Cluster Flex Install

Hi.

Both are on my radar, but not sure when I will get round to them. :)

I love the posting. I'm a little confused with the network aspect of this.

I think it would be helpful if you can please post the contents of your network configuration file (ifcfg-eth*) or the output of ifconfig -a if that is not an inconvenience to you.

Thanks
Ram

Hi.

I'm not sure what value it adds, as I've already explained what the settings should be. I've added it anyway, during the setup of the first node and after the cloning of the second node.

Hi.

I believe you issue was because you didn't disable NAT as suggested in the article. The article you link to has a different solution to the same issue. :)

Hi Tim
thank you very much for that, i used your other howtos as well, with success on learning things about oracle installation :)

some things that may be implemented in this howto
- db admin passwd should respect the requirements of policy
if not installation will fail
i cannot get access to the em express side after this, have you even tried this ?

regards cpw
