Khalid Beg (mkb47) said... Thanks Tim. The steps are very useful and easy to catch for any TECH guys. The most important thing is that IT WORKED SMOOTHLY on windows7 |
Andrew said... As stated several times above. OracleHome\Product...\oci.dll is being used by what looks like the following 2 services:OracleOraDB11g_home1ClrAgent OracleMTSRecoveryService All reference to Oracle has been removed from registry and reboot do not clear these services from task manager. This is Windows 7 |
Tim... said... Hi.The process works for me. I suggest you check the services have been deleted from the registry. Also, try renameing the dll, then reboot. Often, if the delete won't work, the rename will. This will prevent anything from trying to use it after reboot. Cheers Tim... |
Raju said... Hi,I have sucessfully unintalled Oracle 10g.Thank you so much for your help. Thanks, Raju. |
Stuart said... You can also detach an Oracle home from the inventory. I've had to do this on my EM agent11g home after it wouldn't deinstall via normal methods. Also applies to db homes.cd $ORACLE_HOME/oui/bin ./runInstaller -silent -detachHome ORACLE_HOME="/u04/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/agent11g" ORACLE_HOME_NAME="agent11g1" |
Rodger said... Don't forget to remove any environment variable references, otherwise any subsequent re-install may fail (because they still refer to folder paths that don't exist). |
