Claude Saikaly said...Dear Sir,
Thank you for the nice articles you have put here. I am trying the Flashback transaction, and followed all the steps, when I click on the button FlashBack transaction, I got the following error :
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-55507: Encountered mining error during Flashback Transaction Backout. function:krvxpsr ORA-01291: missing logfile ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_FLASHBACK", line 37 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_FLASHBACK", line 70 ORA-06512: at line 2
Could you please help me to resolve it?
There is nothing more I can say than what is said in the error message. You have a missing log file. You can't expect to mine a log for information to back out a transaction if the log file is not present. :)
Repeat the process for a transaction which you still have the logs for.
PS. Questions in the forum, not in the comments please. :)
Yes, DDL is now available for Flashback Data Archive, but it's an 11gR2 new feature. The article was written when 11gR1 was released.
