Please fix the "Set Kernel Parameters" part.
For Fedora 9, the following line should be appended to the "/etc/sysctl.conf" file

fs.file-max = 65536 # 512 * PROCESSES

Got two errors. Just use the default value. The installation seems working fine. However, it's mid night already. Will verify tomorrow.

It's a really good article maybe you should add
how to manually start the listener or the dbconsole, using the commands $ORACLE_HOME/bin
./ emctl start dbconsole (to start the dbconsole) or lsnrctl start (for the listener).
