Still in San Francisco…

I went to the airport. I got on the plane. The plane had a faulty clock! I waited for 2 hours. I got off the plane. I waited for 2 hours. The plane was cancelled. I got on a bus. I got a room at the Hyatt. So here I am, at the Hyatt at KLM’s expense, for an extra night in San Francisco. You gotta laugh…

By the way, the bus driver nearly killed us three times on the way to the hotel. First, he couldn’t decide which way to go, so he aimed for the central reservation. This caused screams from most of the occupants. Next, he nearly hit a guy whilst changing lanes. Finally, we nearly crashed into the back of a car. On this occasion I screamed, “Break!” I get the feeling someone doesn’t want me to get home in one piece! 🙁

Cheers

  1. Ah well, at least you got a bus. Last time I was in LA, I rented a car at the airport.

Their “courtesy” bus took me to the rental car park, a coupla miles down the road.

    And promptly left.

Leaving me stranded with the luggage, staring at a vacant car park spot: the rental car had been stolen! Need I say the car park was unattended?

A loooong time later I made it back to the airport terminal, with the luggage. Let’s just say I was not very polite to the folks at the rental company counter, after that little episode…

I’ll never go back to LA if it’s in my power to avoid it!
