Well, the whole knee thing has proved a little more problematic than I thought. I’m not getting any pain and I can walk OK, but if I stay upright for too long it starts to swell, so I have to spend quite a bit of time on my back with my leg up, preferably with ice on it. This makes working from home practically impossible. I’m checking things intermittently, but I can’t really do anything useful.
The boredom of daytime TV is starting to get to me. I’m switching between TV, DVDs, reading and checking up on work. Never mind. 🙂
Cheers
Tim…
I remember reading a few years ago in a magazine (I think it was Mondo2000) about these spectacles which had LCD screens instead of lenses, for use instead of a computer monitor. The point being that the screens were visible whatever angle we were lying at, so we could even use our computer lying down. Of course, they would only be useful for people who could touch type. I don’t know whether these ever got beyond the prototype stage.
Anyway, best wishes for a speedy recovery and all that. And don’t go dancing around the Xmas tree.
Cheers, APC
Get a lappie, Tim. they were invented just for that! 🙂
Seriously: when I did the hernia op a few years ago,
it was the only sensible way for me to catch up for the whole
duration of the “lie in bed” thing.
Here’s hoping for a quick recovery.
It’s difficult to work with a laptop when you are flat on your back.
