IBM’s Adwords Typo…


I guess IBM have been buying Oracle related Adwords as part of their marketing campaign. If you go on any Oracle sites using Adsense, you might see this advert doing the rounds.

If you are trying to discredit a competitor, the least you could do is spell their name correctly. I’ll put that down as a #fail for IBM… 🙂

  1. I actually think it’s correct. Maybe you should change (or correct) the name of your blog to Oracel-Base.

  2. Actually this could be a #win for IBM – they may be doing this on purpose. I noticed once while pricing out AdWords that misspellings of a term often cost more than the correctly spelled word. Presumably individuals who are so ill-informed that they spell the name of the product incorrectly make easy marks, uh, I mean, good customers.
