WordPress 4.1 “Dinah”

WordPress 4.1 “Dinah” has been born.

The upgrade will probably happen automatically in a few days, but if you go on to you blog now you canĀ force the update. We will no doubt get a 4.1.1 very soon, as this always seems to happen. šŸ™‚

There is a list of new features that I think is meant to thrill me, but I’m looking at everything post upgrade and it all seems pretty much the same. I tried the new Twenty Fifteen theme, but I was not really happy with it, so I went back to my ultra-plain theme. šŸ™‚

I’m sure there are some bug fixes and it always pays to be up to date with this stuff.

Happy upgrading.

Cheers

VirtualBox 4.1 Released…

Hot on the heels of theĀ VirtualBox 4.0.12Ā maintenance release, shipped a few days ago, comesĀ VirtualBox 4.1. It contains loads of new features, explained hereĀ and in the changelog.

The upgrade went smoothly on my MacBook Pro, but on my Fedora 15 servers I had to uninstall the old version manually before installing the new version. None of my settings were lost so everything was easy enough.

It certainly seems applying VirtualBox upgrades is becoming a fulltime job. Of course, the quick release cycle is a lot better than getting no updates, like VMware Server. šŸ™‚
