Haha Tim. I once worked at a place where the explicit cursors were everywhere. This was only a few years back, and nobody seemed to think it was odd. It was painful just reading through the code. :)

I feel hard-coding is poor practice. You should always be able to parametrize in most cases.

Also I feel you should log into each database schema individually and run your script.

The query will bring back all the employers - there is no restriction clause.

'No command interpreter' does not sound good. Sounds to me like an 'orphaned' window.

Do other commands work?

Also good idea to create your own user.

Nothing add to Tim - apart from - it is useful to be aware of the Metadata tables. They contain all the information which can describe your database.

Really essential to know.

Generally if you can't drop it - there has to be some active dependencies.

Other consideration is if your oracle user does not have the privileges to drop it.
