ORA-00445: background process "q00O" did not start after 120
Hi Tim,
While running database backup , backup team found that they could not connect to the database.
When checked from my side I found following error in the database alert log file.Also Attached trace file for your reference.
ORA-00445: background process "q00O" did not start after 120 seconds

PMON failed to acquire latch, see PMON dump
Wed Sep 24 08:03:23 2014
PMON failed to acquire latch, see PMON dump
Wed Sep 24 08:03:41 2014
Errors in file /opt/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/GEM01/GEM01/trace/GEM01_qmnc_4240.trc (incident=181102):
ORA-00445: background process "q00P" did not start after 120 seconds
I don't find option to upload my trace file here.Could you tell me how to upload file here?
Oracle -- 11.2.0.4.1
OS -- Linux 2.6

Hi.
No. Do not attempt to upload the file here.
Most of the trace files are full of stuff Oracle run tools against to decipher. There are bits that are human readable. You should read these as they may help you diagnose this for yourself.
