how to know what table is created by dbms_stats.create_stat_

Postby kytemaniac » Mon Dec 03, 2012 4:13 am

I'm looking at the article id 837570.1

step 32

Step 32

Upgrade Statistics Tables Created by the DBMS_STATS Package.

If you created statistics tables using the DBMS_STATS.CREATE_STAT_TABLE procedure, then upgrade these tables by executing the following procedure:

in the first place how do I know which tables are create by DBMS_STATS.CREATE_STAT_TABLE.

have check 10gr2 ... sthref6598

11gr2 ... ARPLS68508

and search for CREATE_STAT_TABLE in metalink, but search was in vain.

did not mentioned about tables created by the above by DBMS_STATS.CREATE_STAT_TABLE

thanks a lot!

They will be tables you created using DBMS_STATS.CREATE_STAT_TABLE for the specific purpose of holding stats. If you don't know the names of these tables it means either:

- You don't have an.
- You don't use them regularly, so forgetting to upgrade them is not a problem.

To try and identify some, I would create a new stats table. Check the columns in that table, then search for other tables with similar named columns.
