Missing Libraries

Postby nick2005 » Wed Feb 20, 2013 3:44 pm

Hi Tim,

Following step by step the article Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2) Installation On Oracle Linux 6, the setup show message like these:
Package: libaio-0.3.105 not found
Package: compat-libstdc++- not found

During the Linux installation I have used (as suggested) oracle-rdbms-server-11gR2-preinstall.

Can ignore the warnings ?

Best regards

Question: Are you using downloaded from OTN, or downloaded from MOS?

RHEL6/OL6 is only supported on, so that could be why you have the issue, even after running the script.

Using will work, but don't use it for a real installation. If you want to continue, just check you have the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of those packages.
