undo tablespace on standby db

Postby Raaj A » Mon Apr 01, 2013 3:06 pm

Hi Tim,

My production database is on oracle11g on windows 2008 R2 and i have setup datagaurd. My undo tablespace got full and i created another undo tablespace named undotbs1 and make it default on primary database. i have kept standby_file_management to auto. when i checked on standby database it is still showing old undo table space. i changed in pfile and created spfile from pfile and restarted the standby database still it is showing me old undo tablespace on standby database. Please suggest what can be done so that standby database should point to new undo tablespace.

please help.

Changes to tempfile are not copied to the standby.

You can had different tempfile configuration on the primary and standby databases. It's a feature.
