Oracle RAC Network configuration issue

Postby Yash » Wed Jan 01, 2014 4:00 pm

Hi Tim,

I am trying to configure Oracle RAC system on Oracle VM Virtual box with Host as Windows 7 system and Guest as Oracle linux 6.4. I am facing issues in configuring Virtual, Private & Scan ip configuration on the linux system.

I am referring to below article to configure this system: ... ualbox.php

When I am trying to bring up the interface eth2 & I am getting below error

ifup eth2

Determining IP information for eth2... failed.

Can you please suggest any Techinical document to Troubleshoot network configuration issue further.

Not really.

I'm assuming eth2 is you interconnect, so it using internal network as the adapter? If so, this should work with no additional configuration.

I never use Windows for my host OS when I'm doing these RAC installations, so maybe you are coming across something I've never seen?
