Postby venkat » Thu Jul 17, 2014 11:15 am

Hi Tim,

I want to decode to base64_Deocde
which was encoded by sql Server base64_Encode

i mean SQL server PPL Encoding to 64baseEncode and sendind to oracle database and now i need to decode to 64baseDecode

How i can achieve, tried using Select utl_encode.base64_decode('UGFzc3dvcmRAMTIz') from dual

But Getting Error like this ORA-01465 invalid Hex Number

UGFzc3dvcmRAMTIz - is encoded by SQL Server 64Base Encode

Thanks & Regards

Well, that depends on a number of factors.

- What format does the encode leave the text in? RAW, HEX (VARCHAR representation of the RAW).
- Depending on the output, you may have to cast to raw, the decode...

This is how I do it normally: ... encode.sql ... decode.sql
