Comments for WebLogic Server 12cR1 (12.1.2 and 12.1.3) : Clustered Domains

I've followed you instructions to do the WebLogic install but I find that the screen shots you have are different when configuring the cluster. I don't see "Database Configuration Type" as an option in the setup.

What am I missing? I'm installing 12.1.2.

Thanks
Ram

Hi.

Did you install ADF Runtime over your WebLogic installation before creating the domain? If you did and you picked the options I did, you should get it. If not, then you may not.

Hi.

I don't remember it taking too long. Did you do the RCU setup, as described in that linked article, before you started?

What are the steps for the second machine? When running: "./unpack.sh -domain = $ DOMAIN_HOME -template = $ {DOMAIN_HOME} -template.jar" displays the following error: "Applications may only be written to an empty directory", I believe that this setup step was missing On the second machine. I just create the cluster and then do the import? Or just add a new directory and run unpack

Hi.

You just have the basic installation on the second node. Don't manually create any directories. Error says, "Applications may only be written to an empty directory", which suggests you've already created some paths, or done a failed unpack and not cleaned up.

The steps in the article work as-is. Also, you seem to have spaces after the "$". Not sure why this is...

Cheers
