Great thanks to you for such interesting blog.
I just want to note that following syntax worked as expected for me.
alter system set DB_FLASH_CACHE_FILE='/mnt/vdisk1','/mnt/vdisk2' scope=spfile;
I think the lack of single quotes in my ALTER SYSTEM statements was the issue. When I added them the stuff went into the SPFILE correctly (without them) and it worked fine. I've cleaned up the article. Thanks for the heads-up. :)
Marin Velichkov said...Hi Tim,
I have one questions
What will happen in this case:
ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_FLASH_CACHE_FILE = '/mnt/vdisk1', '/mnt/vdisk2' SCOPE=SPFILE;
ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_FLASH_CACHE_SIZE = 1G SCOPE=SPFILE;
Error or database will use only first device ?
I honestly can't remember. I would suggest you try it. If it fails to start the DB, just create a PFILE, alter the setting. Recreate the SPFILE and start the DB.

I test and don't work!
Good to know. Thanks. :)

Thank for the heads-up. I've added that reference to the warning at the start. :)
