Comments for Oracle Forms 11g and Java Web Start

Sreepathi Das said...

I am adding frmall.jar and my own jar file in the resources.
frmall.jar signed by oracle and second jar signed by me.

Now when i run the jnlp, I am getting below error

ExitException : JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate

Is there any workaround for this? I am sure you will be having an answer for this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi.

There are some references online about how to do this, but I actually resign everything with the same certificate. Even the Oracle supplied JARs.

Thanks Tim,
frmall.jar was signed by Oracle. Resigning the jar doesnt work for me.
So I tried another method.
http://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/technotes/guides/javaws/developersguide/faq.html#s213
Oracle says if there are jars signed by different authorities, it should be added as reference .
I tried this one too, but now i am getting error saying "unable to load resource"

Hi.

Yes. I tried that without success too, which is why I resign all jars, including Oracle's, with our certificate.

I've updated the article with my current resign script.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the solution. It works.
and I fount a simple way to remove the existing signature by opening the jar in winrar.

Now there is another problem.
Even after closing my application, the process jp2launcher.exe *32 is not getting closed.
have you fount any such problem?
do you have a solution for this?

Thanks

Hi.

Yep. We get that. Most people run the apps all day and it's our policy to switch the PC off at night, so nobody ever notices. :) If it's causing you a problem I would suggest Googling. :)

Cheers
