On newly installed OS it is necessary to set ip address and hostname in /etc/hosts file otherwise it gives error regarding ip address cannot be resolved while installing oracle database,moreover oracle9i is not certified to use on red hat 9 although it works due to ld_assume_kernel variable.

To start oracle database automatically on startup we also need to modify dbstart file given by OUI as it is used by dbora.
