We just had a power cut and whilst looking for a torch I hit my head against the corner of a wall.
I couldn’t find a working torch anywhere, then I remembered my Android phone has a Flashlight app. No more bruises…

The iPhone has a more expensive and overly-hyped torch which isn’t as good but has a tremendous marketing campaign behind it.
Train a couple of days ago lost lighting in the cars (480V generator separate from engine electrics). The conductor went around putting up glo-sticks after the emergency lighting battery wore down. Several people did use their phones for light.
My wife always rolls her eyes when I use that app.
