Nidhi said...well,i am a junior oracle dev with hardly a years experience and i had a telephonic interview last evening and this topic helped me to tell what an autonomous transaction is ,instantly when i searched on google. and later on i read it and experimented .Its crystal clear now. Is it a part of advanced PL-SQL? havent got across such thing before.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's advanced. More of a "not so common" feature. :)
