MobaXterm 10.0 was released a couple of days ago. As well as the usual bug fixes there are a number of enhancements and a new flatter look and feel.

Update: McAfee is listing this as containing the “Artemis!10A4D2BC47D8” trojan. I’ve backed out to 9.4 and contacted Mobatek, who tell me it’s a false positive. I’ve spoken to others who say their AV lists it as good. I’m going to try and contact McAfee to get them to sort their listing.

Update 2: My company have filed a potential false-positive with McAfee.

Update 3: Mobatek have pulled this version until they can work out this false positive with McAfee, then reissue it later.

MobaXterm 9.3

MobaXterm version version 9.3 was released about a week ago. The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed I didn’t post about 9.2. That’s because it was released the day before 9.3. 🙂

The downloads and changelog are in the usual places.

If you use Windows and ever need SSH or an X server, you need this in your life. Imagine Putty and Cygwin wrapped up together, placed on a exercise program and injected with steroids 3 times a day. That is what MobaXterm is.

MobaXterm 8.5

MobaXterm 8.5 was released at then end of last year. The download and changelog can be found here.

If you use a Windows desktop and you ever need to SSH a server or use X emulation, you need this bit of software in your life. There is a free version, or you can subscribe to support the development.

Give it a go. You won’t regret it.
